DSM Ship Management was established in 2012 as the dedicated ship management arm of Düzgit Group, focusing on the technical and commercial management of oil and chemical tankers. The company builds on Düzgit Group’s maritime heritage dating back to 1966, combining long-standing operational experience with structured and modern ship management practices.

The Group’s roots lie in hands-on operations in the Strait of Istanbul, where uninterrupted availability, accuracy, and trust are essential. This operational mindset continues to shape Düzgit Group’s approach today, combining practical experience with structured management and governance practices.

    Commercial Management
    Where agreed with owners, DSM Ship Management also provides commercial management services, supporting the effective employment of vessels in international trade.

    Commercial management scope includes:

  • Chartering support and employment plannin
  • Negotiation and execution of charter parties in line with owners’ instructions
  • Voyage planning, estimating, and operational optimisation
  • Voyage accounting, hire and freight calculations
  • Demurrage, despatch, and claims follow-up
  • Appointment and coordination of port agents and service providers

    • This integrated approach ensures close alignment between technical condition, operational readiness, and commercial performance.

    Safety, Quality & Industry Standards
    DSM operates a structured Safety Management System (SMS) in compliance with the ISM Code, supported by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification verified by Lloyd’s Register.

    Each managed vessel is subject to:

  • Regular technical and deck inspections
  • SIRE and CDI inspection regimes appropriate to tanker operations
  • Continuous monitoring of findings, corrective actions, and performance indicators

    • DSM’s tanker management performance has been assessed through TMSA III audits conducted by major oil companies, with satisfactory results.
